Keep moving

While Yoga does bringin active energy into your mind, you also need to focus on your body and build your stamina as well as strength. It is always better to go for a jog or 5 mile run once you are done with your Yoga session.

If you can’t find time in the morning, then go for a run in the evening. However, there is also the choice of going to the gym or learning martial arts or joining a dance class. All these activities will increase your stamina and strength. It will also speedup the process of weight loss.

Make healthy choices

If you have a sweet-tooth, then don’t compromise on the cakes, chocolates and sweets.

Instead, make a healthy choice of eating only healthy food when it is time for your meals – be it breakfast, lunch or dinner. If you know there chocolate pastry in the house and you will be eating two pieces of it, then make a conscious choice to eat only fruits or salad for lunch.

While it is not advisable to skip lunch as an option to maintain your weight, you can change the timings of your meals. This way you will be able to balance your food intake at regular intervals. In addition, you can choose to eat healthy snacks especially, when you know you are going to indulge in sweets for the day.

Avoid alcohol and smoking

You can also cut down on liquor and smoking in order to stay fit. Don’t indulge in binge drinking as it will skew your health plans once you wake up with a massive hangover.

Meanwhile, smoking directly affects your stamina levels. Inhaling cancerous smoke leads to respiratory issues. If you are serious about staying fit, then this is one thing you must work towards stopping completely.
